Be the Captain was very well written and now that I've completed reading it, I will keep on my boat as a resource!

Just managed to dive into the audio book, but sofar is everything I hoped and more. Is really the no BS target oriented survival manual. I bought the book after watching some of the videos of James, and needless to say, i am hooked. Million thanks for putting this together. This is stuff thst saves life's even or specially before leaving the harbor. Just great 🙏🙏🙏

As someone who hasn’t got enough experience but has got ocean crossing ambitions- James’s vast knowledge and straight forward approach fill in many of the (large) gaps,

This book is unlike anything else out there; it's a compilation of practical experiences and techniques acquired throughout a lifetime at sea. It's an easy read, even for those with little experience.
I feel privileged to have been able to acquire this precious stone, polished by the hands of James.
Today I feel much more capable of steering my ship across the seven seas.
I am grateful to James and everyone who contributed to the production of this book, which I will carry with me throughout the world
