I’m not an experienced sailor by any means and I find the book useful for getting into sailing, I have done the 101-103 and planning my 104 soon. I love your content and I have watched alot of your videos and I think they are great but after seeing so many of your videos and reading alot of the book it just feels like I’m not getting any sauce you haven’t already gave out in your videos and streams. Just food for thought. Love you man!
Very direct experiences and opinions told well. Def aimed at blue water monos, but had tons of great info for coastal cruisers and Caribbean hoppers on catamarans like us.

I actually starting my sailing career and i think the best solution to do this right is to get so much experience as posible. I saw many videos of James Evanson on youtube and his tip´s are allways from a practical standpoint. So why don´t learn from an expierenced Sailor like him!
In my car run´s the audio book, so you get a realy fast overview of the whole book.

By the time I received the hard copy (very, very nice printing and cover btw), I already read two thirds of the e-book. It is exactly what it advertises it is: "A field manual". It taught me new stuff, it raised my awarness and it changed my habits and techniques about other things. As James likes often to put it, the book is no BS!
Excellent summary with loads of great tips based on true sailor experiences. I can highly recommend this book to all sailors.
