I was just reading the headlines of the chapters. It’s like preventive care … this book seems to give answers on subjects which could occur beside the romantic part of sailing. Good to know … thanks captain.
This is a focused, practical book as the author intended, and as the name suggests. It contains a lot of useful information. Most important is its core message that as captain you are responsible and you have to take that to heart and act accordingly.
I'm really impressed with this book. I've sailed many thousands of offshore miles, and learned a lot from this book. James' organization and delivery is easy to follow and understand. He brings a wealth of experience to his writing and it's obvious he's spent a lot of time thinking about this book and how people absorb information.
I am a moderately experienced sailor with about 5k sea miles under my belt. I've owned two sail boats for a combined 30 years. I've found the book and your videos a great way to get the stoke back ..refresh my previous knowledge and built upon past experience.!
